This is second most used color. Comparison of usage of different colors by Canon printer I have a Canon Photo Printer which takes six CLI-8 Canon Ink Cartridges. The cost of each individual ink cartridge ranges from around $12.50-15 (on Amazon) to 18.99 in Staples. So no matter how you buy the genuine Canon Ink Cartridges keeping yourself ready to print photos is expensive.

What’s up with this vendor? I’m not sure where to put in a complaint about this so I’ll write it here. We purchased Canon ink as we usually do through Amazon. This one tank was fulfilled by detailsurfer rather than “Amazon.” It came in a zip lock plastic bag instead of the box pictured. A tag on the bag said it was Canon ink, Cyan, etc. The tank itself was shrink wrapped and labeled as I’d expect for a real Canon ink tank.

Genuine CanonCLI-8 clearly outperforms aftermarket compatible ink. I’ve made the expensive mistake of using cheap aftermarket compatible ink, and now know to stick with the correct Canon product. I use this product to print high resolution digital art and large format photos. Your results will vary with your experience and blend of work, but the only colors I don’t replace with great frequency are red (R) and cyan (C).
