Great shoes, nice price! I’d been in the market for some running shoes to use at work for a while. I wasn’t too fond of the prices I was finding at brand online stores for the few shoes available in the width I needed. Most of the shoes, especially if I wanted wide, were pushing $130 plus. Comfortable, breathable, good shoes, but will they last? I would happily give these shoes 5 starts if I knew the shoes would last long enough to be worth the buy. Right now I just don’t know. I haven’t had them too long and I already started to see a tear in the sole of one of the shoes. I don’t use them for any extenuating activities, just for around the office and around the home and I do get a lot of walking done on them walking between buildings at work. Downshifted from Vomeros These Downshifters are not quite as comfortable as the Nike Vomeros they replaced, but not bad at 1/3 the price. My first online shoe purchase; I figured since the brand was the same, they would probably fit as well. These felt a little snug at first, but have gotten better once broken in. The Vomeros finally started coming apart after 3 years of continual use, and have now been relegated to what my five-year old grandson refers to as my “cuttin’ grass shoes”. Hope the Downshifters…
